This special trek will include a llama hike at spectacular Max Patch, one of the South's best-known hiking areas on the Tennessee/North Carolina State borderline. Includes 2 hour hike through a dense forest then open fields full of wildflowers and wildlife. View of Max Patch Mountain and the Smoky Mountains. Gourmet lunch will be served. Live music by a flutist and guitarist. Relaxation time of photography, talking, and enjoying the views. 30 minute Yoga session. 11AM-6PM at Max Patch, Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina.
1. HIKE - Hike about 2 hours on an easy trail through a dense forest then arrive at the "open fields, a grassy area full of wildflowers and wildlife. Walking high above the tree-lines are spectacular views of Max Patch Mountain, elevation 4632', which was cleared in the past for grazing and even an airplane landing strip; 360 degree view of the Smoky Mountains.
2. LUNCH - Relax among the fields and set up for a healthy, gourmet lunch prepared and served to you.
3. ENTERTAINMENT - After lunch special live music will be quietly serenaded by Doug Rinaldo, flutist and Mike, guitarist.
4. RELAX - Rree time for taking photographs, talking, and enjoying the views.
5. YOGA - A 2nd special treat is a 30 minute Yoga Session featuring Jane Price, a certified yoga instructor who will show gentle, beginner yoga techniques, positions and breathing.
Return to grazing llamas and continue on the fun llama trek through the wooded trails. Total distance: about 5 miles round-trip (easy)
