Smoky Mountain Winterfest

Winter in the Smoky Mountains is a popular time of the year. Smoky Mountain Winterfest kicks off the first week in November. Over 20 million lights twinkle through February 28th. Special events take place throughout the winter months. This is considered to be a major event in the Smoky Mountains, drawing hundreds of thousands of tourists each year.

Towns located just outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park, including Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville celebrate Smoky Mountain Winterfest by decorating with Christmas trees, animated lights, wreaths, and many other decorations.
